UNICEF Deployment
🇨🇲 BEMPU in Cameroon
Protecting Newborns from Hypothermia with UNICEF
BEMPU TempWatch in Cameroon
BEMPU TempWatch has been distributed and implemented in Cameroon as part of UNICEF's regional programming to reduce neonatal mortality in West and Central Africa. UNICEF Cameroon has actively promoted the device, sharing its impact with healthcare communities across the country.
Cameroon, like many countries in the region, faces significant challenges with neonatal hypothermia — a leading preventable cause of death for premature and low birth weight newborns. TempWatch gives nurses and families an affordable, continuous way to monitor temperature and act before complications arise.
UNICEF Partnership
UNICEF Cameroon has been a key partner in promoting and deploying TempWatch, working with healthcare facilities to train nurses and integrate the device into standard newborn care protocols.
